This 21-day tour of Peru really does this fascinating South American country justice. You’ll spend time in the capital Lima and the country’s second city – colonial-era Arequipa – and travel to the coast. Spend time trekking and exploring the Andes and journey into the Amazonian rainforest – it’s all included. Visit the mysterious Nazca Lines and enter the Colca Canyon for two nights discovering high mountain villages. Lake Titicaca is the world’s highest lake of its size, and here you’ll take a boat trip to stay with the locals at Amantani Island for an insight into their traditional way of life. Climbing higher into the Andes you’ll stop at the regional capital Cuzco, an ancient city where Inca walls still line its major streets. From here you’ll prepare for your four-day Inca Trail trek, hiking through remote cloud forest and passing lofty ruins on the way to legendary Machu Picchu. If that wasn’t enough adventure, you’ll round off the tour with two nights in the Amazonian rainforest, staying at a jungle lodge and joining local guides to spot the region’s unique wildlife.
