Description
Classic trekking in the Himalayas, following the celebrated Annapurna circuit. With 16 days of hiking you’ll be able to appreciate the grandeur of this region of Nepal to its full. Driving to the trailhead from the capital Kathmandu you’ll walk through surprisingly varied landscapes, from rhododendron forests to high alpine meadows, tough scree slopes, terraced farmland and deep river valleys. The views are nothing short of spectacular, and you’ll climb to above 5,400m, with time to acclimatize on the way. Along with your expert guides, porters will help carry your kit and you’ll stay at comfortable mountain lodges, many with superb views. Pass through remote hillside settlements and follow babbling rivers and rocky trails, meeting the charming local people on the way. At the end of the trek you’ll have a night by serene Phewa Tal Lake before flying back to Kathmandu where you’ll end your epic Nepalese trekking holiday.
