Description
Combine a mountain adventure in Morocco with time to explore the wonders of Marrakech and a relaxing beach break. After a couple of nights in Marrakech, including a horse-drawn calesh tour of the old town, you’ll drive into the Atlas Mountains for four days of mule trekking. The tour is suitable for families with young children, as the pace is easy-going and the kids can ride the mules. You will climb high, though, for a true mountain experience, crossing remote passes, enjoying hillside picnic lunches and reaching isolated Berber villages where you’ll be welcomed by the hospitable locals and stay in simple guesthouses. After the trek you’ll head for the atmospheric Atlantic coast town of Essaouria. Here you’ll spend two nights in a handsome ‘riad’ courtyard hotel in the old walled medina before returning to Marrakech for a final exciting night – don’t miss the snake charmers, storytellers and street food of Djemaa el Fna square.
