Description
A wildlife adventure in the heart of the Finnish wilderness, where you’ll travel to the country’s northern forests to search for the region’s brown bears, wolves, moose and hundreds of bird species. Staying in wilderness lodges and specially designed wildlife hides, which the brown bears can come within metres of, you’ve an excellent chance of some really up-close wildlife viewing. As well as days and nights spotting wildlife you’ll enjoy hearty local food and can relax in lodge saunas after time in the wild. Northern Finland boasts a population of some 200 wolves, 900 brown bears and more than a hundred thousand moose, and your expert guide will help make sure you get the best wildlife encounters as you travel to two distinct areas – one particularly excellent for bear spotting, the other for wolf. If you’re serious about wildlife, you won’t be disappointed.
