Description
This budget tour of Egypt takes you to this fascinating country’s highlights with minimum fuss. Starting in Cairo you’ll take in the world-famous Pyramids and Sphinx and have time to see the treasures of Tutankhamun at the Egyptian Museum. Then it’s onto the sleeper train down to Aswan and the south. You’ll get a real feel of Africa here, and can visit the town’s exotic souq and meet the locals at a traditional Nubian village. Next you’ll step aboard a traditional Nile sailing felucca for one of the tour’s undoubted highlights – a night sleeping on deck under the stars. Back on dry land you’ll have the chance to visit the ancient temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu and will spend two days relaxing and touring the historic sights around Luxor before returning to Cairo by train.
