Description
It would be hard to find a better introduction to Sri Lanka – this 15-day tour takes you to the major sites along with some lesser-known treasures, with lots of activity along the way. Cycle around the ruined cities of Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa and marvel at the DambullaCaveTemple. Climb Sigiriya Fort for fantastic views and travel to Kandy – Sri Lanka’s cultural capital. Here you’ll find a lakeside city of markets and wonderful cuisine, surrounded by lush countryside. Visit the Temple of the Tooth, witness a dramatic Kandyan fire walking and dance performance and take a trip to the Pinnewala Elephant Orphanage. Then there’s a train journey to the tea country and hiking through Sri Lanka’s scenic hill country. After your trek there’s time to relax with two days at the beachside village of Mirissa before heading to the walled colonial port of Galle and the island capital Colombo.

of the Tooth. Each night features thousands of dancers and drummers,
and a parade of more than 50 decorate elephants. Our partners can
purchase tickets on your behalf if required (at an extra cost). Please
request at time of booking. Any child between 12-18 has to be
accompanied by someone over 18.
