Description
Start this classic Egyptian tour in ancient Luxor, with a night in the city before driving south to Aswan. After visiting the famous dam and temple, you’ll board a traditional felucca, sailing first to ElephantineIsland and onwards along this legendary river. With four nights onboard, you’ll get a real feel for the country as you pass it by. Each day you will disembark for day hikes, exploring Nubian villages and traditional markets. A walk through palm groves, sand dunes and dried riverbeds will also take you to the fascinating Pharaoh’s Quarry at Silsila. The felucca will gradually make its way downriver, taking you back to Luxor where there’s time to visit sites like the funeral temple of Ramses III, Karnak and the unmissable Valley of the Kings.
