Description
Trekking through Nepal's Khumbu district to Everest Basecamp, with a Western leader, full trekking crew and classic camping set-up, this holiday is everything a 'Connoisseur's Choice' trip should be. An internal flight from Kathmandu across Himalayan foothills takes you to the start point of your trek. The walking itself is fairly straightforward, with relatively short walking days dictated by the ever increasing elevation. With an easy-going pace and acclimatisation days in the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar and in the village of Dingboche, you’ll have time to get used to the thinner air, as the route approaches 5000m. Trekking in the footsteps of the great mountaineers and accompanied by Sherpas and your expert guide, you’ll enter the KhumbuValley with exceptional views of Everest itself from viewpoints like Kala Patar. You'll pass remote villages and Buddhist monasteries on the way and after your epic trek, it's back to Kathmandu to spend the night in a city hotel with a chance to explore the colourful Nepalese capital.
