Mountain biking around Lake Garda offers some of the best riding and scenery in northern Italy, a distinctly varied adventure with breathtaking routes in true Italian mountain biking style. The riding is varied - forested trails, singletrack, old military routes, ridge top rides, high alpine passes, cheeky climbs and thrilling descents.
As we transfer from Verona airport, heading into the foothills of the Dolomites, we soon get a taste of the terrain and landscapes we’ll be enjoying in the days to come: towering limestone mountains rising up from ahead of us. The trip is ideally positioned in the northern region of Lake Garda. Starting from the foothills of the Brenta Dolomites, we have easy access to the network of trails in the surrounding rugged mountains and canyons. The grandeur of the scenery is truly breathtaking and the biking varied.
Moving to Lake Garda mid week, our accommodation is a lovely Agriturismo set between Riva del Garda and Arco, a short cycle away from the lake and the delights of fine Italian restaurants and vibrant night life in the local town. With its own pool it is the perfect place to relax after a day in the mountains having ridden the top trails of the lake.
Amongst the riding highlights, the stunning views from of the Brenta Dolomites, blissful singletrack and dirt roads contouring the cliffs high above the lake, the incredible off road routes through the woods on the slopes of Mt Velo. It’s a great place to spend a few days developing your biking skills thanks to our local expert guide  and at the end of the day, chilling out by the lake in a charming Italian atmosphere.
