Description
Set off for a real journey of discovery through Central America, visiting three countries with an irresistible mix of beach life, jungle covered ancient ruins and atmospheric old colonial towns. Start off in the brash, fun filled Mexican resort of Cancun before leaving the crowds behind to visit mysterious Mayan remains on the way to charming San Cristobal. Crossing the border into Guatemala you’ll make a stop at Lake Atitlan, with its beautiful mountain backdrop and adventure sports scene. Taking in markets and more ancient sites en route, you’ll stay in the historic city of Antigua and fly down to Flores to visit the remarkable ruins of Tikal. Entering Belize you’ll make a beeline for the highland town of San Ignacio and end the trip by driving back up to Mexico for more time by the beaches of the Caribbean coast.
