Description
Visit one of Vietnam’s most colourful destinations with a Mekong Delta river trip. The delta is reached by a short drive from Ho Chi Minh City, and here you’ll take to the water by private boat. Head down its meandering inlets and waterways and observe daily life going on around you, with boats of all descriptions criss-crossing your path. Traditional stilt houses line the riverbanks and fishing boats and cargo vessels moor up at small waterside settlements. You’ll take a motor-cart to reach a remote village for lunch and then stay overnight with a local family in a stilt house. Take a bicycle to visit the bustling nearby market, help out with preparing meals and gain a unique insight into how the locals live before returning by boat and road to Ho Chi Minh City.
