Description
Spend a week sampling some of the best summer Alpine activities around, based in a comfortable chalet in the Chamonix Valley above the town of Chamonix itself. Hike to beautiful Lac Blanc and across the border into Switzerland for lunch, and head down the valley for an introduction to ‘via ferrata’ fixed climbing with an expert instructor. Spend an afternoon rafting the River Arve, try your hand at the exciting sport of canyoning and tackle a fun high-rope course. Walk up to the Pierre Berard mountain refuge for the night, then climb onwards, hiking to the summit of 3,100m Mont Buet, where jaw dropping views of the Mont Blanc range unfold. A free day is included for you to take things at your own pace, relaxing in Chamonix or perhaps taking the Aiguille du Midi cable car or trying one of the many other local activities available. Get the most out of the Alps with this superb active break.
