Description
This mountain bike holiday in Picos de Europa National Park introduces you to one of Spain’s most beautiful natural regions. You’ll cycle through Castilla y Leon, Cantabria and Asturias, climbing to breathtaking mountain passes and following thrilling singletrack trails through shady forests and spectacular gorges. Stay in good quality local guesthouses and spend one night in a high mountain refuge in the Andara Massif. You’ll be joined by expert guides and support staff along the way, and all breakfasts and lunches are included plus some evening meals – the local cuisine is excellent. It’s an unspoiled area of Spain with fantastic mountain biking and wonderful scenery, and while the riding is demanding at times with some long climbs, the views and descents make it all worth while. Entering the huge Urdon Gorge is particularly spectacular, and the descent from Andara and singletrack to the Rio Cares are always favourites with adrenaline seekers.
