Description

Hike into Morocco’s Atlas Mountains on this one-week MountToubkal trek, climbing to the highest point in North Africa. As well as reaching the 4,167m summit you’ll traverse exciting high ridges and stay at mountain camps. This is a remote and beautiful corner of south west Morocco, and you’ll pass through hidden villages to meet the hospitable Berber people and get a taste of the traditional way of life in this stunning part of the world. As you gain altitude the views will stretch across to the Sahara, and as well as the rugged scenery of the high ground there are also surprisingly lush valleys and mountain streams and lakes to discover. The tour starts and ends in unmissable Marrakech, whose souqs and narrow alleyways have remained virtually unchanged for centuries.
