Description

Discover Antarctica in the footsteps of Shackleton and the great explorers, boarding the MS Fram in Buenos Aires and sailing far down into the icy south. You’ll stay in comfortable onboard cabins and can head for the glass-enclosed observation lounge and enjoy informative presentations to prepare you for the sights to come. After cruising south you’ll first make landfall in the Falkland Islands to experience this remote community and spot some of the dozens of bird and animal species that live there. Then it’s onwards to South Georgia, with its rich whaling heritage and the spectacular cliffs of Drygalski Fjord. Stop off on South Orkney Island as you enter Antarctica itself, with plenty of time to explore this icy landscape. Witness glaciers calving into the ocean, and look out for flocks of penguins, killer whales and all manner of unique Antarctic wildlife. The cruise ends in Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost city, from which you’ll fly back to Buenos Aires at the end of an Antarctic voyage to remember.
