Description

Sri Lanka is an incredibly diverse island, and you’ll experience fantastic tropical trekking and rich culture on this 14-day tour. With two nights of camping, you’ll get close to the country’s wild side, trekking in the Knuckles Range and high Horton Plains. There are spectacular views and lush scenery all the way plus an exciting night ascent of the 2,243m Adam’s Peak to arrive in time for sunrise. Treks to a hillside tea plantation and forest waterfalls are also on the agenda. The journey on a narrow gauge railway through Sri Lanka’s hill country, climbing above 2,000m, is another highlight. You’ll also visit the rock fortress of Sigiriya and the cave temples of Dambulla, stay in the former imperial capital of Kandy and stop at Pinnawela elephant orphanage. End the journey with a well-deserved break by the beach in Marawila.
