Description
A tour of Australia’s top end, setting off from Darwin and travelling first to Kakadu National Park in the company of your professional safari guide. One of Australia’s most celebrated conservation areas, here you’ll have the opportunity to search for crocs and witness the ancient Aboriginal art at Ubirr Rock. Staying at permanent tented camps on the way you’ll enjoy nights round the campfire and hearty Aussie food. The tour of the top end continues through spectacular sandstone country to the pioneering mining area of Pine Creek and a night at the historic Springvale Homestead. There’s swimming in cool, clear waters, spectacular viewpoints, tumbling waterfalls and plenty of nature en route, plus an exciting canoe trip along majestic Katherine Gorge. Moving back up to Darwin, stay by the banks of the Adelaide River and walk through the rainforests of Litchfield National Park. This is wild, tropical Australia at its best.
