Description

Hike Peru in style with this luxury Andes trek, staying at superbly appointed stone mountain lodges in the Cordillera Vilcanota region. Reach above 5,000m on the Camino del Apu Ausangate trail with porters, llamas and horses accompanying you to take care of your baggage. You’ll reach the heart of the mountains flying down to the Andean city of Cuzco. Spend time exploring the Inca sites and markets of the Sacred Valley and take the train to the unforgettable city of Machu Picchu. The trekking proper starts in your second week after you’ve had time to acclimatize to the altitude. Breathtaking mountain views and spectacular hiking await you, as you cross moraine fields, rugged valleys and high mountain passes and visit remote villages. Reach 5,100m at your highest point on the Palomani Pass and enter the scenic Upis Valley. After the trek there’s a final night back in Cuzco, a city where old Inca walls still line its main streets, before fling back to Lima to complete your Peruvian adventure.
