Description
This coast-to-coast cycling tour takes you from Cumbria across to Northumberland and Tynemouth, covering some 140 miles in four well-paced days. Stay in comfortable B&Bs and set off to bike through magnificent English scenery. Head into the heart of the Lake District to stop in Keswick by the banks of Derwent Water and take in Deepdale’s quiet country lanes. Climb to Allendale, England’s highest village, follow the Waskerley Way, enter the scenic North Pennines and then pedal down to Newcastle and your end point in Tynemouth. From the Irish Sea to the North Sea you’ll be treated to some superb cycling, and to make the trip easier your luggage will be transferred between accommodation. You’ll also have full vehicle and mechanical support in case you need a rest or repair. Your support crew will also provide packed lunches and drinks and snacks en route, and transfer you and your bikes at the start and end of the trip from Newcastle.
