Description

Cycling in northern Holland, spending your days in the saddle and nights onboard a comfortable skippered barge. From Amsterdam, pedal at your own pace along an easy-going, flat landscape of historic dikes and canals and past windmills and polders to old trading towns and small villages. Visit historic cities like Edam, Volendam, Hoorn and Alkmaar, with its famous cheese market, and cross over to the beautiful island of Texel, the largest of the Dutch Wadden islands, home to pretty hamlets and rare bird life. Bike to the stunning Schoorl Dunes as you wend your way back to Amsterdam, swapping your biking tales with your fellow travellers each night onboard over a sociable dinner.
