Description
A family activity holiday in Sweden north of the Arctic Circle, where you’ll be surrounded by a mountainous winter wonderland and stay in pretty red-painted cabins at Camp Ripan. The camp is near Kiruna, Sweden’s northernmost city and deep in the Arctic Circle in Lapland, close to the Norwegian border. Ideal for families with children aged six and over you’ll join a range of exciting winter activities. Head out night snow shoeing, cross country ski touring, and husky dog sledding, try your hand at ice fishing and speed over the wintry landscape on a snowmobile adventure. At the camp you’ll be close to the local reindeer herd, grazing in their corrals, and will also have the chance to meet the Sami people to learn about their traditional way of life. Night time also promises the magical spectacle of the Northern Lights. With comfortable accommodation, excellent food, inspiring scenery and no shortage of things to do, this is an adventurous family holiday that will appeal to all ages.
