Description
On this tour of Brazil you’ll visit some of this huge country’s most well known and more out-of-the-way wonders. Starting and ending in magnificent Rio de Janeiro you’ll have time to take the cable car to Sugar Loaf Mountain, gaze down from the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue and mingle with the beautiful people on Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. Driving down the Costa Verde to arrive at Paraty you can immerse yourself in the heritage of this colonial-era town or head out onto the water to cruise round its nearby tropical islands. Next turn inland to journey to the awesome Iguassu Falls, viewing this natural marvel from both the Brazilian and Argentine sides. Stay by the Rio de la Prata then enter the vast Pantanal region, the world’s largest wetlands. Here you’ll set off into the wilderness and stay in tented accommodation, sleeping in hammocks and exploring with expert guides by day. If you’re lucky you may spot howler monkeys, caiman, anacondas or even giant river otters. Return to Rio by plane at the end of your Brazilian adventure.
